For occupational disciplines, a combination of education and/or experience is required to qualify. A faculty may qualify with any of the following:
- Five years of occupational experience in the field to be taught OR
- Three years of occupational experience in the field to be taught and a Bachelor’s degree or higher
- A master’s degree if higher in the teaching filed OR
- A master’s degree or higher in any field with 18 graduate credits in the teaching field
Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) from state AZ
American Veterinary Medical Association accreditation standard
The Veterinary Technology Program is AVMA accredited.
Certification
Documentation of employment in a veterinary clinical setting detailing work duties to include those completed by veterinary technicians. Examples include but are not limited to: receptionist work, client education, clinical pathology, nursing skills, veterinary surgery assistant, veterinary dental assistant, emergency medicine and animal husbandry.
Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD), Veterinary Technician (AAS), Career and Technical Education- Agriculture, Equine Science.
