For occupational disciplines, a combination of education and/or experience is required to qualify. A faculty may qualify with any of the following:
- Five years of occupational experience in the field to be taught OR
- Three years of occupational experience in the field to be taught and a Bachelor’s degree or higher OR
- A Master’s degree or higher in the teaching field OR
- A Master’s degree or higher in any field with 18 graduate credits in the teaching field OR
- A Master’s degree or higher in any field with a combination of 24 upper division and/or graduate credits in the teaching field
Completion of a two-part formal structured phlebotomy program offered by an accredited or state-recognized institution or provider OR successfully complete the didactic (coursework) portion of an employer-based training program that has been verified by an employer to provide academic preparation including technical skills and knowledge sufficient to prepare an individual to perform the duties of an entry-level phlebotomist
sufficient to ensure appropriate experience
sufficient to ensure appropriate education and training
letter from employer or HR with dates of employment and job title or major job duties
medical lab science, medical lab technology, medical lab technician, clinical lab science, phlebotomist, phlebotomy, specimen processing, laboratory assistant, general studies
